When You Don't Have All the Answers
The question caught him off guard.
His child looked up and asked something important about life, faith, and the future. For a moment, the father searched for the right words.
But he didn't have them.
Later that evening, another challenge appeared. A family decision needed to be made, and once again he felt uncertain.
Many fathers know this feeling. Families often look to them for wisdom and direction, yet there are moments when they simply don't know what to do.
The pressure to always have the answers can be exhausting.
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach.”
— James 1:5
God Never Expected You to Know Everything
Many fathers place unrealistic expectations on themselves. God never called you to be all-knowing. He called you to depend on Him.
Your strength is not in knowing everything.
Your strength is in trusting God.
Wisdom Begins With Humility
It takes humility to admit when you don't know the answer. Yet humility opens the door for God's wisdom to guide your decisions.
Pride pretends.
Wisdom seeks God's help.
God Gives Guidance One Step at a Time
Often we want the entire plan before moving forward. God usually provides enough light for the next step, teaching us to trust Him daily.
God's guidance is sufficient.
Faith walks one step at a time.
Your Family Needs Dependence on God More Than Confidence in Yourself
One of the greatest lessons a father can teach is dependence on God. When your family sees you seeking God's wisdom, they learn where true guidance is found.
A praying father leads well.
A humble father points others to God.
Practical Ways to Seek God's Wisdom

- Read Scripture regularly.
- Seek wise biblical counsel.

- Trust God even when the path is unclear.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, there are times when I don't know what to do. Thank You that I do not have to rely on my own wisdom. Help me seek You first, trust Your guidance, and lead my family with humility and faith. Give me wisdom for every decision and confidence in Your promises. In Jesus' name, Amen.
